Capt.. Mike Nugent --- Broward County FD, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Capt. Nugent is a FEMA team leader, Urban Search and
Rescue team leader and has trained thousands of firefighters
in high angle rescue. His team was credited with recovering
five victims of the WTC disaster. Capt. Nugent has trained
numerous South Florida Fire Fighters to use our line of
equipment.
Captain Nugent was one of the first Rescue Instructors to
understand that given the right technology, tenants in high
rises can fend for themselves in an emergency. Captain
Nugent and his rescue team (shown training w/the system at
left), played a vital role in creating a system good enough for
firefighters, but simple enough for civilians to use.
